Taking Ozempic correctly

Taking the new Ozempic pill? How you take it matters.

Ozempic tablets (oral semaglutide) have specific dosing instructions that can affect how the medication is absorbed.

• Take it once daily in the morning on an empty stomach.
• Take it with up to 4 ounces of plain water.
• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking other oral medications.

Following the administration instructions is important because taking oral semaglutide incorrectly can reduce absorption.

And remember: Ozempic tablets and Rybelsus both contain semaglutide, but they are NOT interchangeable milligram-for-milligram.
