Foundayo vs. Wegovy pill—what happens if you miss a dose?

These are both oral GLP-1 weight-loss medications, but their missed-dose instructions are NOT the same.

• Foundayo (orforglipron): If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. Don't double the next dose. If 7 or more consecutive doses are missed, the prescribing information recommends restarting dose escalation at a lower dose.

• Wegovy tablets (semaglutide): If you miss a dose, SKIP the missed dose and take your next dose the following day.

There's also an interesting pharmacokinetic difference: Foundayo's elimination half-life is approximately 29–49 hours, while semaglutide has a much longer half-life.

The takeaway? Don't assume missed-dose instructions are the same just because two medications are both GLP-1 pills.
